		<description>Thanks for the input -- the Maria Josselyn listing is from the 1880 census, of course it could be mis-transcribed (by the census taker, the census form clearly shows Maria), from a mistaken source, etc., etc. -- all the problems that occur with census records. She was listed as a widow, so the Captain must have already been deceased by then. Everything else fits though, and Maria shows a birthplace of Canada. Maybe she was Maria Augusta -- the Maria is often not used for being too common. Anyhow, it is a great image, very nicely tinted.</description>

		<description>We have an original (identical) picture in our Lacey Family book.  We have Ada&#039;s parents listed as Capt. A.S. and Augusta Josselyn.  Augusta was the daughter of Isaac Lacey, my great, great, great grandfather.  You mention her mother&#039;s name as Maria which we have no record of, but could have been her middle name.</description>
