Welcome to GenPics, where you can share genealogical information and find others from the same 'neighborhood' your ancestors lived. We hope to continually expand our area of coverage, but for now only the localities listed below are available.

How It Works

GenPics lists the names of residents from the 1880 census (for the U.S.) or 1881 census (for the UK or Canada) or Griffith's Valuation (for Ireland). You can search by surname or fullname, and see family group listings. Then you can find neighbors by following the 'nearby residents' link. Those show others listed nearby -- close proximity in the census listings usually (thought not always) indicates close physical proximity.

For any individual listed you can click on the name and find a page with links to images or further information (if any have been added) or add your own links to your website or other sources for that individual.

NOTE: The Google search above searches this site, and any pages hosted directly by this site -- but many GenPics sub-sites are hosted on other sites, and must be searched individually. To find ancestors, it is better to follow the relevant locality link below, then use the search on that page.
